A Team of Occupational Therapists and Professionals at Your Service

Team Up with Our team!

Our team is a team of professionals who work together to provide a wide range of experience and knowledge with great empathy for the child.
Like our reception and administration staff, our therapists are there for you.

At Groupe Ergo Ressources, 3 professions combine to offer you the most accurate assessment and the most effective treatment plan: occupational therapists, speech therapists and neuropsychologists.

Our occupational therapists have an average of 10 years of experience in the field and use a variety of approaches to help children with developmental problems or delays. Among these we find sensory integration and the Padovan method, as well as other developmental approaches.

Some professionals are partners of Groupe Ergo Ressources. In order to simplify the text, we have not mentioned them all. Contact us for details.

Our Founders

Sonya Côté

A graduate and Clinical practitioner in occupational therapy since 1992, Sonya Côté opened her first clinic in 1995 with Magalie Rinfret. After a period in the civil service, she founded Groupe Ergo Ressources (GER), with her partner from the start, Magalie Rinfret.

Sonya Côté currently chairs one of the largest networks of private clinics in occupational therapy in Quebec, whose diversified clientele consists of private clients, public and private organizations (insurers, CNESST, SAAQ, employers and others), schools and daycares (CEP). She is also Vice-President of the Quebec Association of Occupational Therapists in Private Practice, a member of the Autism Spectrum Disorder National Network and a member of the Council for Private Health and Wellness.

Over the years and throughout Quebec, her research and experience as a clinics coupled with her talents as a communicator and popularizer in the field of occupational therapy make Sonya Côté a recognized and sought-after trainer in the childhood institutional milieu. In addition, professional associations, universities, institutions and specialized events often solicit her to speak at conferences in Quebec.

Sonya Côté is co-author of Trop de stimuli pour Alexis (Dominique et compagnie, editors). The book tells the story of a hypersensitive child and explains hypersensitivity to parents. She is also an author on the Babou collection: games and activities for motricity and language, adapted to children ages 4 - 5 (Éditions Chenelière).

Her new solo book, Favoriser l’attention en classe par des stratégies sensorielles is now available throughout all French speaking countries.

Magalie Rinfret

Magalie Rinfret graduated in 1993. Over the years, she has developed a thorough knowledge of workplace rehabilitation clients, including complex mental health and chronic pain cases.

With a degree as a clinician in occupational therapy since 1993, Magalie Rinfret opened her first Clinic in 1995 with Sonya Côté. She founded the Centre d’ergothérapie Action-Santé in 1997. In 2006, that company merged with the Ergo Ressources Clinic, to become Groupe Ergo Ressources in 2006, of which Magalie is founding vice-president.

She develops the interdisciplinary teams at the various Groupe Ergo Ressources Clinics. In this context, she works as Clinical Coordinator and Customer Service Manager.

Her vast expertise enables her to fully understand the mandate and needs of not only the client, but the paying agency as well.
